Instructions for Literature Review Paper : Theoretical Framework Study on Automotive Information Systems

Include at least 5 peer-reviewed sources (scholarly journal articles, already provided in attachment but will include more than 5+ for personal preference of choosing depending on how you write and how want to integrate the sources). The literature review must follow current APA format, contain a title page, reference page, and an appendix section if needed for non-textual items.

Ideally a literature review should contain 3 main sections; however, for this course you only need to focus on section 1, which is listed below in bold.

1. Tell what the research says (theory).
2. Tell how the research was carried out (methodology).
3. Tell what is missing, the “gap” that your research intends to fill.

Writing a literature review entails conducting research, but to be more specific it states the following information.

• Establishes a theoretical framework for the problem/topic (subject area).
• Defines key terms, definitions and terminology.
• Identifies studies, models, case studies, etc. that support the problem/topic.
• Defines/establishes the problem or area of study.

The peer reviewed research must lead to an appropriate IS solution to your problem(***Please be sure to refer to the attached document for Project proposal, charter, and business case for clearer understanding of the problem with CAPPS***very important, it will help a lot to understand clearer) and answer the following question: What literature attempts to solve my problem?
The literature review must contain the following sections with supporting writing:

• Establishes a theoretical framework for your problem/topic (subject area). Briefly state the importance of IS.
• Briefly re-state your project purpose, project problem, and project scope that you wrote in Phase 1 (why your solution is needed).
• Define any key terms, definitions, and terminology that the reader may need to know before reading your literature review. It may be best to do this after writing the entire literature review.

Review of Literature

• Tell me what the research says (theory) about your problem.
o Finding research about your problem defines/establishes your problem or area of study (reaffirms that the problem does exist and why fixing this problem is important).
o Identify any studies, models, case studies, etc. that support your problem/topic.

• State the literature that you found and why it attempts to solve your problem.
• How can you use this literature to help you solve your problem?
• Does the literature lead you to an appropriate IS solution for your problem?

Assignment Policies

Please read all of the information about the assignments below:

The assignments are to be done in Microsoft Word with Times New Roman 12- point font. Each assignment should use the modified APA 6th edition format. The assignment templates are set up in this modified format. The reference page should be in the APA format for every reference. The word requirement for the assignments are specifically stated in the guidelines of the assignment. The word count is from the first word of the introductory paragraph to the last word of the conclusion paragraph. FYI.

1- There should be a cited reference for each section of a paper as there are conclusion statements in each section (to meet the grading criteria) so the conclusion should be supported by a reference as the assignments are evidence-based research, clinical papers.

2- Word Count- The word count is done from the first word of the introductory paragraph to the last word of the conclusion. The word count must be within the minimum and maximum word limit stated in the assignment instructions. A 10% – point reduction will be made in the total points for the assignment.

Week 1 and 5 assignments should have SIX studies. Week 5 assignment is a compilation of sections from the week 1, 2 & 3 assignments.

Weeks 2 and 3 need to have at least THREE studies in the form of research studies. Please make sure that you look at the instructions for the assignment as well as the grading rubric. I have also provided templates for ALL assignments. It is in your best interest to use these as it will guide you so that you do not make common formatting errors.
